Held in the same year, the Harlem Cultural Festival, never got the same kind of attention. With his directoral debut, Ahmir ‘Questlove’ Thompson tries to pull the festival from the clutches of oblivion. Dirk Hooier watched and reviewed ‘Summer of Soul’.
